The Fine Cheese Co. Festival - Milsom Place, Bath

Last Saturday, The Fine Cheese Co. hosted a delicious cheese festival in Milsom Place. An event which saw some of the UK’s best artisan cheese makers selling their fantastic produce to us cheese lovers. It was great to see Milsom Place teeming with shoppers, especially as it has sadly become relatively quiet in recent months due to the various well publicised closures.

Well, the festival, which returns after ‘several years hiatus’, certainly transformed Milsom Place for a day. Adorned, very aptly, in colourful bunting and soaked in autumnal sunshine, even if it was bitterly cold! There were a number of producers all ready to sell their cheesy offerings…

All of the cheesemakers were more than happy to answer any questions about their cheeses, to share their backstories and knowledge of the produce that they had readily available for customers to sample…

Brrr! That’s if you were brave enough to take your gloves off for a moment or two!

The event commenced at 10am and we arrived soon after, keen to take some photos before the stalls filled up with lots of happy shoppers…

Cheese, of course, goes hand in hand with crackers, biscuits, pickles and chutneys. The Fine Cheese Co. had lots of wonderful products, all of which have been developed ‘from scratch’ by themselves, with a specific type of cheese in mind. Look no further, I say!

Now, a cheeseboard would not be quite complete without a fine red wine. Thankfully, the lovely team at Le Vignoble were on hand to offer their suggestions and allow for some tasty tipple sampling too!
