Five Guys - Bristol

I can't believe this is my first review of a burger joint! I definitely think I need to make up for it, so, sit tight, take notes, and get ready to indulge in some serious burger and bun action! Now then, for a slice of fast food heaven, we need to pop over to Bristol, head for the Cabot Centre and dive into Five Guys. Get ready to leave your table manners at the front door; roll up your sleeves and get stuck in! It's definitely OK to lick your fingers and slurp on milkshake here!

Speaking of milkshakes... You've got to try the creamy, rich and unashamedly calorific 'Salted Caramel' (£4.75) shake!

Admittedly, we bought one to share as I don't think I could have taken one on by myself! We also opted out of the additional 'Whipped Cream' topping; fearing the calorie count would top up too high throughout this one sitting!

Whilst slurping on our milkshake, we waited on our mains... You have the option of "over 250,000 possible ways to order a burger at Five Guys." Well, that may take you more than a day of deciphering, so, I suggest either going all in and ordering every topping on the menu (if you are indecisive), or, like me, just choose your absolute favourites...

My 'Little Cheeseburger' (£5.50) was stacked to the brim with one patty, one slice of cheese, caramelised onions, tomato, crunchy lettuce and mayo; sandwiched between a pillowy soft, warm sesame seeded bun. Doesn't look so 'little' actually, does it!

My idea of heaven!

Alongside a heap of 'Five Guys Style' golden crispy fries... We opted for the 'Regular' portion to share (£4).

Scott couldn't resist the 'Bacon Cheeseburger' (£8.75) which came complete with two patties, mushrooms and cheese, cheese, cheeeeeese!

We couldn't find room for the complimentary monkey nuts, but I thought I'd snap them anyway, as a reminder to anyone who visits Five Guys to dig in whilst waiting for your food!

Lunch was a fast and furious affair, stuffed to the brim on burgers, fries and milkshake, we slowly made our way back out to the shops. I would definitely recommend a visit if you haven't dined at Five Guys before, everything is cooked fresh to order and created right in front of you.
