Valentine's Day Gift Ideas
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I have put together a gift guide that I hope may inspire you if you are still yet to buy a little something for that special someone in your life before Sunday! Of course, just a thoughtful card to give to your other half when he or she wakes on Sunday morning is more than enough I am sure! Especially if you have gone to the trouble of making it yourself (extra brownie points to you there!) However, if, like me, you get drawn into buying presents in shops or online (especially as hearts and roses fill the shelves at this time of the year) then I say, embrace all the frills and thrills of Valentine's Day!
I have created two look books in this post, showcasing everything I have spotted for the girls and for the boys! Underneath each look book, you will find all the details of each gift idea; including prices and shop links. *I copied and pasted each photo from its online website.*
There are some truly gorgeous Valentines ideas out there this year. I started the search for my gift guide very close to home, in the city of Bath. If you live nearby then I definitely recommend heading to the following shops: Article on Bartlett Street, Bloomsbury and Anthropologie on New Bond Street, French Grey Interiors on Burton Street, Vinegar Hill and Paperchase on Milsom Street and Hotel Chocolat in SouthGate. I spotted some fabulous finds along the way; romantic (not slushy), fun, thoughtful, practical gift ideas that are all sure to put a smile on your Valentine's face in a few days time! :)
After I exhausted my options in Bath, I headed further afield; a little online shopping alongside a cup of tea! I love shopping on Not On The High Street and Etsy as they always reveal something unique and extra special I hadn't even considered before! I have popped down some quirky ideas below... I also just LOVE the work of popular British Illustrator, Alice Tait; she has created a wonderful series of prints (I bought the 'Map of Bath' from Article, in Bath, not long ago as a Christmas present for Scott). You can never have too much artwork filling your walls!
Happy hunting :)
A JOINT GIFT* (IF YOU'VE TIED THE KNOT!)... *You'll have to let each other know in advance of Valentine's Day of course! :)
