Hunter & Sons - Bath
A cold, grey Saturday morning can mean only one thing... Cheeky bacon sandwiches and hot frothy lattes from Hunter & Sons!
Tucked away in Milsom Place, just beyond all the signage leading you to Jamie's Italian, Hunter & Sons is the perfect little pitstop for a delicious bite to eat and what I'd call a 'proper' coffee. Scott and I could quite easily while away the whole morning in this cosy, lively hub! True to my word, we actually did just that on Saturday morning; needing a rest bite from the rain and the hustle and bustle of weekend shoppers, it was just the place for a coffee and a catch up!
Popular with creative types and owners of Macbooks (thanks to the speedy wifi and large, spacious tables to spread your work out on), Hunter & Sons is one of Bath's great independent coffee houses. They pride themselves on their coffee menu; 'brewing and offering the most desirable, and simply stunning coffees that [they] can find.' We chose one of each of the coffees available on the day; I went for a silky smooth 'Costa Rica - De Licho, Latte' and Scott tried the richer tasting 'El Salvador - Santa Petrona' with chocolatey notes...
We both opted for bacon and apple ketchup sandwiches which were served on fresh doorstop white bloomers. The bacon was thick and flavoursome and fortunately for my waistline, not dripping in grease!
So, so scrumptious!!!
I would definitely recommend a trip to Hunter & Sons if you are on the hunt for good coffee and a trendy place to stop by with friends or family. It's child friendly and looks like the go to place for yummy mummy's! Check them out over here!
