Well, there is no need to panic buy this season, or join the frenzy of Christmas shoppers who cram into those exhaustive department stores, eager to tick off their shopping lists. For all the festive fun and inspiration you need to hunt down the perfect gifts this year, step into the colourful world of Lola Swift...
Not only will you find it a much more enjoyable shopping experience, you will be surprised by how many family members and friends you can buy for, in one fell swoop!
When I discovered via my social media earlier this month, that Lola had just returned to Bath for her annual Christmas pop-up shop, I couldn't wait to visit. So off I ventured to 28 Milsom Street, on a bright but chilly Wednesday morning, camera in tow of course! It was wonderful to be met by Lola as she showed me around her fabulous pop-up shop...
I soon took the opportunity to photograph a few favourites. Ha, a few? Who am I kidding! I felt like I had stepped foot inside an Aladdin's Cave, surrounded by so many beautiful treasures, I couldn't stop taking photos! Everything from elegant, eye-catching interiors and smart home accessories, to cosy knitwear, thoughtful stocking fillers and delightful Christmas decorations. Lola was excited to show me a colourful wall display featuring delicate decoupage wall plates and platters by New York based decorative artist; John Derian. Gorgeous pops of colour that could easily create a fashionable backdrop or feature wall in your home...
An industrial looking contemporary table lamp for the man in your life this Christmas? You can pretend it was just him you had in mind, not that you secretly wanted it anyway!
Why not bring another element of fun to your home with this decorative 3D sculpture of 'Nick the Quick' (£38) by Miho Unexpected Things? Designed in Italy, each colourful ornament that Lola has sourced from Miho's collection, will certainly brighten any spot in your house. In addition, each piece is made from recyclable MDF, environmentally friendly ink and paper.
I particularly loved this set of three 'Tropical Breeze' decorative flowers. Wonderfully feminine pieces which would make the perfect gift for the girls!
It can't be Christmas without shiny baubles or fairy lights!
And it doesn't get any more festive than this.
With so many adorable handcrafted festive toys, vintage fabric dolls and fun games to discover, even your little ones can enjoy opening gifts from Lola Swift this Christmas.
I wouldn't mind taking this little fellow home with me. I mean, have you ever seen anything as adorable as this?!
From transforming your home into a winter wonderland, to filling your children's stockings with wonderful toys, one thing for sure is you won't leave Lola Swift empty handed. I haven't even told you about the delicious sweet treats I spotted winking down at me from a shelf!
Or, these cute starry socks that I'd love to skip about in on Christmas day!
Or, this festive set of wintry bobble hat and gloves.
Not to mention the swoon worthy collection of fashion jewellery...
... which would find a perfect home in these heart-shaped, gold spotty bowls.
I was also excited to check out Lola's own label of gorgeous British-made designer knitwear, that has "graced the shelves of Paul Smith, Selfridges and luxury boutiques all over the world."
A different colour for every day of the week!
Lola Swift pop-up shop will be open until Thursday 29th December, so have fun indulging in some Christmas retail therapy! If you are not local to Bath, you can shop at Lola Swift online here.
