Bill's - Bath
Bill's on Cheap Street is a guaranteed good place to dine at with friends or family. Scott and I recently visited the restaurant on a Thursday night. We first visited a Bill's restaurant in Putney in London a few years ago.
For guaranteed good food then I suggest booking a table, or, walking into Bill's next time you're passing one by. There are many dotted around the country, so just Google one near you and hopefully you'll be able to find one within easy reach.
We kick started the evening off with a 'Bramble Mojito' (£6.50) and a 275ml of 'Bill's Beer' (£3.95).
For me? 'Bill's Lamb Koftas' (£12.95) which reminded me of a similar dish I once tried at a seaside taverna in Rhodes one summer holiday. Complete with hummus, creamy tzatziki, a crunchy radish and cucumber salad, warm piadina bread and a sweet red onion chutney.
For Scott? One of the specials off of the menu. A Bill's style meat platter including BBQ pork ribs, a small chilli con carne, sausages, fried onion rings, salad and fries on the side.
We were already so full but couldn't resist ordering puddings!
This time I ordered off of the specials list; a rich banana split. Caramelized sweet bananas topped with a towering layer of whipped cream, chocolate sauce, strawberries and a crunchy crumble topping. It tasted so good, although every mouthful felt pretty sinful! I kept telling myself that a gym session would certainly be a necessity the following day.
Scott chose the popular 'Warm Mini Cinnamon Doughnuts' (£5.50). They were delicious too; warm fluffy doughnuts coated in a thick layer of cinnamon, dipped into a rich molten dark chocolate sauce...
A great evening out with reasonably priced delicious food and attentive staff.
