My pictures are my eyes. I photograph what I see - and what I want to see.

My name is Georgie and I live in the city of Bath with my husband, Scott, and our French Bulldog pup, Winnie. We moved here in August 2o13 from Putney due to Scott's career, and we both agree it was the best move we could ever have made!

I started The Bathonian as a hobby, in October 2015, whilst working part-time for popular British illustrator Alice Tait. Slowly but surely, my blog was becoming much more a part of my everyday life. In the autumn of 2017, I decided to work solely on my blog; The Bathonian. My passion is to write, and having studied English as part of my degree at the University of Durham (quite some time ago!), I craved an outlet for my creativity. So, when my husband began to teach me the basics of photography, I soon realised that my blog would be an exciting way to document my adventures and travels in Bath and beyond.

I really hope you enjoy following my food and lifestyle blog. Should you wish to get in touch, please visit my contact page.

Many thanks for stopping by!

  1. I am a dog lover through and through! Winnie is most definitely my cheeky sidekick, and I have assigned her to the role of assistant for The Bathonian! I'll let you know how she gets on!

  2. For the most scrumptious white hot chocolate in Bath, I head to The Colombian Company on Abbeygate Street, and for a delicious chai latte, you can find me in Society Cafe!

  3. My most memorable dining experience to date was a trip to Fäviken in Åre, Sweden. If you fancy a read, view my post here.

  4. A treasured memory that will live with me forever was the moment I stood in front of the Taj Mahal in Agra - India. Within seconds I realised I couldn’t stare directly at the glistening ivory-white marble mausoleum - it’s just so unbelievably bright, it could almost blind you!

What camera equipment do you use?

I use a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX100 to take photos when I want a discreet, pocket sized camera when travelling. However, my go-to camera is my Canon EOS 80D SLR. With a series of zoom and prime lenses in my camera bag, it is a versatile camera that takes sharp high resolution images and HD videos - perfect for my blogging needs!

What do you use to edit your photos?

I use Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 and Adobe Lightroom to edit all of my photos.

Do you do collaborations?

Yes, absolutely! I love the opportunity to collaborate with brands and businesses. Should you wish to discuss any potential work opportunities with me, please do get in contact

Disclaimer: As noted on my individual blog posts, any collaborations or invites are clearly disclosed to my readers. Please note that I only post honest reviews of my experiences.
